Jimmy Hendrix

James Marshall Hendrix (November 27,1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist. Widely hailed by music fans and critics alike as the greatest electric guitarist of all time, there is no disputing that he remains one of the most influential rock guitarists (and songwriters).Jimi was not very popular in America at the outset of his musical career, only later gaining recognition after taking a trip to England with the Animals’ Chas Chandler, where he subsequently formed the Jimi Hendrix Experience with bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell. While the Experience quickly became popular in England, they remained relatively unrecognized outside of the country. It was not until their performance at the Monterey International Pop Festival in the States that the Experience became, quite literally overnight, one of the most popular bands of the era.——Hendrix was mostly self-taught on the guitar. He was ambidextrous but chose to play the guitar upside-down and re-strung for playing left-handed, which suggests he was more comfortable left-handed. As a guitarist, he built upon the innovations of blues stylists such as BB King , Albert King, Buddy Guy,T Bone Walker, and Muddy Walter, as well as those of rhythm and blues and soul music guitarists such as Curtis Mayfields. Hendrix’s music was also influenced by jazz; he often cited Rahsan Ronald kirkas his favorite musician. In addition, Hendrix extended the tradition of rock guitar: although previous guitarists, such as The Kinks and Jeff Beck. Jimmy will be an inspire guitaris for whole world guitaris.

TOMPI time

Jamie Cullum - Young Jazzer

Jamie Cullum (born August 20, 1979) is an English lounge jazz pianist and singer. Cullum was born in Essex. His mother, Yvonne, is a Burmese secretary whose family settled in Wales after Burma’s de-colonization; his father, John Cullum, worked in finance. His paternal grandfather was a British Army officer, while his paternal grandmother, Omi, was a Jewish refugee from Prussia who sang in Berlin nightclubs; Cullum sees her as his “cultural icon”.[1][2] He was raised in Hullavington, Wiltshire.Cullum released his first album, Jamie Cullum Trio—Heard it All Before, in 1999. A mere 600 copies were made. Original copies have sold for as much as £600 (and above) on eBay. The success of Heard It All Before resulted in Jamie being invited to appear on Geoff Gascoyne’s album Songs of the Summer. After graduating from the University of Reading in 2001, Cullum—who is completely self-taught, bar a few piano lessons as a youngster—released a best-selling album, Pointless Nostalgic, which stirred interest from Michael Parkinson. Following that, in April 2003 he signed a contract with Universal, for three albums, who beat Sony in a bidding war for the prodigy.Cullum then started recording his second album, Twentysomething, which was released in October 2003. It went platinum and became the #1 selling studio album by a jazz artist in the United Kingdom. Cullum’s breakout hit in the United States was “All At Sea” closely followed by a reworking of Radiohead’s “High and Dry”.Although primarily a jazz musician, Cullum performs in a wide range of styles and is generally regarded as a “crossover” artist with his musical roots firmly based in jazz. Cullum draws his inspiration from many different musicians, from Miles Davis to Tom Waits and many more. Cullum has been part of quite a long list of bands, ranging from banging drums in a hip-hop group to playing guitar in rock bands such as Raw Sausage and The Mystery Machine, in his teenage youth.Together with his elder brother, Ben Cullum, he wrote the music for a West End stage version of When Harry Met Sally…The British Jazz Awards first recognized Cullum’s growing success by awarding him the “Rising Star” award, at the 2003 ceremony in July. At the 2004 Brit Awards, Cullum was nominated in the “British Breakthrough Act” category. He performed live in the ceremony at Earl’s Court, a duet with Katie Melua of The Cure’s “Love Cats”. In the 2005 Brit Awards, Cullum was nominated for two awards: “Best Male Artist” and “Best Live Act”. Following that, Cullum was nominated for a prestigious Grammy award in 2005, and went on to win yet another award at the BBC Jazz Awards, this time scooping Radio 2 “Artist Of The Year”, as voted for by listeners of Radio 2.Cullum’s third major label album, entitled Catching Tales, was released on the September 26, 2005, in the United Kingdom and The Netherlands, and two weeks later in the United States, on October 11.The American and French versions of Catching Tales do not feature Fascinating Rhythm, unlike the European version which does. The second single released, in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, was “Mind Trick,” a funky track written by Jamie and his brother Ben. The third single to be released from the album is the self-penned track “Photograph.” Cullum has said it was written on New Years Day (2005) after he found a box of photographs that reminded him of how special his youth was, despite the fact it didn’t seem it at the time.A special edition version of Catching Tales is also available in Europe, featuring “an exclusive 20 minute behind-the-scenes documentary following Jamie throughout recording, mixing, the video shoot and on the road across Europe. It also includes a fabulous interview. 28-page booklet contains exclusive photos, Jamie rarities, extended liner notes plus a track-by-track introduction from Jamie himself!”. Catching Tales has also been released on vinyl, as well as the first single, “Get Your Way.”Catching Tales was to feature a collaboration with Pharrell Williams. Cullum and Williams recorded various songs together and it was thought that a song titled ‘Wifey’ would make an appearance on Catching Tales. Unfortunately, due to publishing laws, it ended up being taken off the album. Usher recorded a version of the song “Wifey”, which was released on a special Japanese import. There is a possibility of “Wifey”, or one of the other tracks they previously recorded together, being released on Pharrell’s forthcoming solo album, release date unknown. The album Catching Tales has been produced by Stewart Levine, who also produced “Twentysomething”.Cullum has been touring with the new album, Catching Tales, since the end of October 2005 and will continue to do so until November 2006. Playing gigs in places such as: Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, South America, South Africa, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Germany, Spain, as well as returning to America no less than three times this year, to tour extensively. Cullum has played at many large music festivals, including Coachella 2005 and the 2006 South by Southwest, and will be playing the 2006 Playboy Jazz Festival.29 April Queensday in The Netherlands, Jamie gave a one hour performance for 280.000 in Amsterdam Museumsquare. As a statement he was wearing a shirt from the Dutch singer/songwriter anouk .In July 2007, he appeared at the WOMAD Festival in Berkshire, England, billed as BC & JC along with brother Ben, premiering new tunes that are dance based in flavour, closing the set with a likely new single. He also played the part of DJ English Hughie in the computer game, The Movies.

Simon Phillips

Simon Phillips is by far one of the world's most renowned and respected drummers, whose style not only reflects his technical gift but also his distinct musical sensibility. Whether it is Rock, Fusion or Jazz, Simon applies the same precision and intensity to his drumming, which is never lacking in emotion and feel. -->Simon's professional musical career began at the early age of twelve, performing and recording with his father's - Sid Phillips - Dixieland band until he turned sixteen. With an offer to play in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, his path was marked and his career in full bloom. Simon soon became one of London's most celebrated session drummers. In his early twenties he was well on his way to having a musical career nothing short of brilliance. To date he has toured and recorded with many bands and artists, including: Mick Jagger, The Who, Jeff Beck, Jack Bruce, Peter Gabriel, Joe Satriani, Tears for Fears, Judas Priest, Roxy Music, Michael Schenker, Nik Kershaw, Phd., Al DiMeola, 801, Pete Townshend, Russ Ballard, Robert Palmer, Stanley Clarke, The Pretenders, Jon Anderson, Whitesnake and Dave Gilmour... to name but a few. In 1992 Simon decided to move to the USA, coinciding with being asked to join Toto for their world tour. He has remained a full time member ever since. After recording the Toto album "Tambu" in 1995, another year of touring followed in 1996, covering Europe, Japan, SE Asia and South America. In 1997 Simon took a break from Toto in order to reach a personal milestone: He took his own band on tour, and for the first time he was the bandleader, and it was his music. This great year included tours of Europe, Japan and The United States, and a performance at The North Sea Jazz Festival. 1998 saw the recording of another Toto studio album entitled "Mindfields", followed by 2 years of touring around the world of which the live CD "Livefields" captures. The most recent Toto record "Through the Looking Glass" took the band in 2002/03 on extensive concert trips to Europe and Asia. Expanding his career from drumming to writing solo projects, Simon recorded his first album "Protocol" in 1988, followed by "Force Majeure" in 1992. "Symbiosis", which he recorded in 1995, was as spirited but more inspired than ever, and showed a change of direction in the compositions. Simon likes to link his growth in songwriting and new artistic depth to his move to the States. The 1997 record "Another Lifetime" shows yet another layer of his tremendously resourceful playing and an even more motivated composing. "Out of the Blue", a live album, followed in 1998 and in 1999 another complete change of style took place in his latest record "Vantage Point", which is a pure, straight ahead jazz album. Yet another expansion to Simon's musical career is producing and engineering, which he first started back in England with British composer Mike Oldfield, working on three albums with him. Aside from his solo projects, Simon also co-produced Toto's "Tambu" in 1995, followed by "Mindfields" in 1998. Simon was asked to engineer the latest Toto album, and spent a couple of months during the winter of 2001/02 recording "Through the Looking Glass" in his own studio. Simon is currently back in his studio mixing a recently recorded show for the next Toto DVD. In 2000 Simon took a break from Toto and recorded with Derek Sherinian, formally of Dream Theater, as well as produced and engineered "Inertia". The following year included the recording of progressive band Planet X, "Moonbabies" and mixing a live CD "Live From Oz". Simon's sympathy to the various styles of music and his interest in sound and arrangements will always drive him to expand his career.

IWAN FALS

Aku lahir tanggal 3 September 1961. Kata ibuku, ketika aku berumur bulanan, setiap kali mendengar suara adzan maghrib aku selalu menangis. Aku nggak tau kenapa sampai sekarang pun aku masih gambang menangis. Setelah membetulkan gitarku, pramugari itu lalu mengajariku memainkan lagu Blowing in the Wind-nya Bob Dylan.

Kita tunggu aksinya.

Andi Timon Profile

As guitarist for pop-metal band Danger Danger, he toured the world opening for Kiss and Alice Cooper, sold over a million records worldwide, and had two #1 videos on MTV, plus amassing a discography that includes 7 solo releases that range from blazing guitar instrumentals, to blues, and even a Beatles/Elvis Costello-inspired collection of pop tunes.

As a session player, he's been highly featured on CDs by drumming legend Simon Phillips, a live CD with Olivia Newton-John (Andy has been her music director/guitarist for several U.S. tours), two internationally acclaimed CDs by Kip Winger, recording sessions for Paula Abdul, Paul Stanley, and countless radio and television jingles. He has also played alongside many of his heroes such as Steve Vai and Joe Satriani (as a regular guest on their G3 tours in Dallas), Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, Mike Stern, Ace Frehley, Ted Nugent, and Pierre Bensusan, as well as some of his fave '60's singing stars such as the Beach Boys, Lesley Gore, and Gordon Waller (of Peter and Gordon fame!)So what hasn't this phenomenal talent done? Released a CD in America, that's what!! Andy has experienced great success with several of his solo releases in Europe and Japan, but "That Was Then, This Is Now (the best of X-tacy)" is his first worldwide CD that includes a US release!
This CD features 11 newly re-mastered tracks from his first two highly acclaimed solo releases, ear X-tacy and ear X-atcy 2 as well as five new songs recorded especially for this compilation that contain some of Andy's best playing ever. Songs such as the Hendrix inspired “Electric Gypsy”, the homage to Stevie Ray Vaughan, “I Remember Stevie”, a beautiful ballad “A Night To Remember”, the country chicken-picking barn-burner “Farmer Sez”, and the incredible tribute to George Harrison, “Slips Away”. These are just a few examples of why Andy has long been respected and admired in the guitar community. The common thread through all these musical genres seems to be Andy's passionate style and sense of melody.

Andy's musical career began in his hometown of Evansville, Indiana at the age of 13 with his first band, Taylor Bay. “Early on, I realized that making it in a rock band was such a long-shot, that I better figure out other ways of making a living playing guitar. I began reading about players like Steve Lukather and Larry Carlton who made their living as session musicians. This really appealed to me, since I really loved a wide variety of musical styles.”
The decision to pursue the studio scene led him to more serious music studies. He studied classical guitar for two years before moving to Miami to study jazz guitar at the University of Miami (largely because the Dixie Dregs, Pat Metheny, and Jaco Pastorius had all gone there). He eventually ended up in Dallas where he was very fortunate to get a foot in the door of a very good studio scene. In 1988, the Andy Timmons band was formed and he quickly gained a following in Texas. Around that time, Epic recording artists Danger Danger recruited him to finish their debut record, film several videos, and begin touring.
After 4 years in New York with Danger Danger, Andy returned to Dallas in 1993 to resume his studio career and the Andy Timmons Band. His first solo release, ear X-tacy, was released in 1994 to critical acclaim followed 1997's ear X-tacy 2. He then released Pawn Kings (1997), Orange Swirl (1998), The Spoken and the Unspoken (1999), and And-thology 1 & 2 (2000). In 2001 Andy signed with Favored Nations and released his first international record, That Was Then, This is Now, a compliation of the first two ear X-tacy records and and five new tracks. Resolution (2006) marks Andy's first full-length new release for Favored Nations.
Andy has been consistently voted a “Top 20 Favorite Guitarist” in most of Japan's rock music magazine's reader polls, as well as being voted “Musician of the Year” four years in a row in the acclaimed Dallas Observer Music Awards. He also has become one of the most respected and sought after clinicians representing Ibanez Guitars, touring the world on their behalf.

think about Marcus Miller

jaco pastorius may well have been the last jazz musician of the 20th century to have made a major impact on the musical world at large. everywhere you go,sometimes it seems like a dozen times a day, in the most unlikely places you hear jaco's sound; from the latest tv commercial to bass players of all stripes copping his licks on recordings of all styles, from news broadcasts to famous rock and roll bands, from hip hop samples to personal tribute records, you hear the echoes of that unmistakable sound everywhere. (it may even be more imitated at this point than the previously most pervasive jazz sound to escape into the broader culture beyond the local borders of jazz, the moody harmon mute stylings of miles davis). for all the caterwauling that has gone on about new musicians that have shown up in recent years being toted as the "next miles", or the "duke ellington of their generation", or whatever, jaco outranks all of them and all of that by being the one and the only of his kind, without predecessor; the only post 1970 jazz musician known on a first name basis with all music fans of all varieties everywhere in the world. from the depths of africa where he is revered in almost god-like status to the halls of most every music university on the planet. to this day, and maybe more than ever, he remains the one and the only JACO. and how odd it is to see this era of historical revisionism in jazz how this accomplishment is often relegated by people who should know better as being "not jazz" or as "fusion" (possibly the single most ignorant and damaging term ever invented to describe (discount) an important and vital branch of the jazz music tree). jaco at his best, as on this record, defines what the word jazz really means. jaco used his own experiences filtered through an almost unbelievable originality informed by a musicianship as audacious as it was expansive, to manifest into sound through improvisation a musical reality that illuminated his individuality. and besides all that, he simply played his ass off - in a way that was totally unprecedented on his instrument, or on ANY instrument for that matter.

because jaco's thing has been so fully assimilated into the culture and the musical vocabulary of our time, i notice that it is difficult for people who weren't around at the time of his emergence to fully weigh the impact of his contribution. as a young musician who met jaco in his prime when we were both just starting out, i can only say that my reaction upon hearing him for the first time (with ira sullivan in miami, florida in 1972) was simply one of shock - i had literally never heard anything remotely like it, nor had anyone else around at the time. and yes, as is so often noted in his case, the way he was playing was unprecedented in technical terms, but that wasn't what made it so stunningly appealing to me. there was a humanity to jaco's thing, built into those relentless grooves was that rare quality that only the most advanced jazz musicians seem to be able to conjure up - with jaco, you were hearing the sound of a time, of an entire generation at work, on the move. our musical relationship was immediate. we recognized in each other a kind of impatience with the status quo of our respective instruments and jazz in general and found an instantaneous rapport from the first notes we played together. we also became really good friends. during the short time that i lived in miami (near jaco's hometown of ft. lauderdale), we played show gigs together and occasionally played at his house (he was living on top of a laundromat at the time) and spent a lot of time just talking about music, much of it about how intensely we both disliked the so-called jazz/rock of the time. ( how ironic that we are both now associated (inaccurately) with that movement). shortly after we met, i wound up moving to boston to join gary burton's quartet. during this period, jaco and i spent time working together in new york with pianist paul bley and began a trio that lasted for several years with drummer bob moses (that group later went on to record what became my first record "bright size life".) in the middle of this period jaco recorded this album. when jaco got word that herbie hancock (a major hero of both of ours) had agreed to participate, i think his already inspired vision of what he could be as a musician and what he could do with this record in particular went to a whole other level. listening again to this record, and the way that he and herbie hook up on the original and the alternate takes of "used to be a cha-cha" we are hearing improvised music at it's highest level - but with a difference. jaco restructured the function of the bass in music in a way that has affected the outcome of countless musical projects to follow in his wake - an innovation that is still being absorbed by rhythm section players to this day - he showed the world that there was an entirely different way to think of the bass function, and what it meant. for this alone, jaco would earn a major place in the pantheon of jazz history. but, of course, there was so much more.

his solo on 'donna lee', beyond being astounding for just the fact that it was played with a hornlike phrasing that was previously unknown to the bass guitar is even more notable for being one of the freshest looks at how to play on a well traveled set of chord changes in recent jazz history - not to mention that it's just about the hippest start to a debut album in the history of recorded music. that solo, along with his best compositions like "continuum" reveal a melodic ingenuity (that rarest and hardest to quantify of musical qualities amongst improvisors) that comes along only a few times in each generation. and then there is just his basic relationship to sound and touch; refined to a degree that some would have thought impossible on an "electric" instrument. jaco's legacy has had a rough go of it - a horribly inaccurate, botched biography, endless cassette bootlegs of late-life gigs that do nothing but devalue the importance of his message through greed and overkill, and a mythology that seems to thrive on the stories that surrounded the lesser aspects of his lifestyle over the triumphs of his early musical vision and wisdom.

but you know what? you put this record on, and none of that matters. it is all here, in the grooves; everything you need to know about the guy. jaco pastorius was one of the most important musicians of our time - the fact that this was his first record is simply astonishing, there is no other way to put it. that this is without question the most auspicious debut album of the past quarter century is inarguable. as with all great recordings, the force of it's value becomes more evident as time passes.

Iwan Hasan bersama DISCUSS

Nah, ingin bukti? (yollismn)

Earn Big Business Revenue By Expanding Your Distribution

Earn Big Business Revenue By Expanding Your Distribution

Almost any product or service we sell can be sold through a third-party, someone other than ourselves. In exchange, you give the third-party a percentage of your earnings from the business they bring you, or, sell them a product at a reduced rate and they make a profit through product margins. When you approach a company to sell your product or service, there needs be a win-win relationship. Prepare to discuss the following: Where is the revenue stream? What is the compatibility of your third-party’s product line versus yours? How will you help the third-party sell your product? In short, what’s “in it” for the third-party?
Suppose you’re a graphic artist and you personally make the pitch to close every sale. Instead, expand your distribution by asking printers, specialty advertising companies and consultants to sell your services. Meet in advance to discuss the most common design jobs, the number of hours involved and what the rates will be. Your third-party now pitches her newly available graphic design services (which are actually yours), you complete the work, while the third-party collects the money and cuts you a check for 65% of the profits.

Who should I approach to expand my distribution?
Perhaps you’re the owner of a flower shop. Try approaching bridle boutiques, wedding planners or caterers and offer a 15% commission each time they sell one of your custom floral packages. Suppose you’re an accountant. You may think to yourself, “I provide a highly-specialized service. What third-party could possibly represent me?” There are partners out there for you! However, first, you must consider your customer’s perception of potential third-parties. If they perceive you offer a specialized service, then whomever you decide to partner with, must also be perceived this way. Therefore, it makes sense for you to partner with highly-specialized and regarded experts such as business consultants and attorneys. The most important element the three of you have in common is that people come to you for expert advice. Therefore, when an attorney refers someone to you, this person already has a high regard for your services due to your association with their attorney.

Here’s another example. You’re a professional organizer and your expertise is to go into your clients’ homes and help them organize their basements, or go through their clothes and prepare for a large donation, or rearrange their kitchen to make it more functional. Whatever it is you do, there are many vendors out there that you complement. How do you turn other vendors into third-party partners? First, think about whom your clients spend time with and what other vendors they employ. For example, you could approach home improvement professionals, such as carpenters and painters. Ask them to distribute your new business flyer, and you do the same for them. There’s no risk. Of course, you’ll want to make sure you’re associating with only reputable vendors, since you won’t generate a lot of reoccurring business by passing around flyers for unethical businesses.

All of my examples work in reverse too. If you’re one of the vendors, then consider approaching the flower shop or accountant and initiate your third-party relationship.
It’s my experience that what keeps us from growing our businesses is our lack of confidence in ourselves. As far as I’m concerned, if you own a business, then you have the expertise necessary to get your job done, and the gusto to approach others and ask them to sell you. If you didn’t, you wouldn’t have the chutzpah to have started your business in the first place. Now go, build some third-party relationships and make some money, and remember, spend very little.

Aku Milikmu - Dewa 19

Terdengar lirih bisikanmu
diantara bayang-bayangmu
Terucap kata cinta
yang dulu tersimpan
Dan tak mau pergi
Sekejap cinta yang terjalin
dari sebuah cerita
Yang tak mungkin terlupa
terukir di hati
Dan tak mau pergi
Mungkinkah kumiliki
cinta seperti ini lagi
Jangan biarkan aku
kehilangan dirimu
Coba dengarkanlah sumpahku (janji suci)
dari hati ..aku cinta kamu
Jangan dengar kata mereka
yang tak ingin kita satuD
Yakinkan aku milikmu
aku milikmu
Jalinan cinta tulus suci
terpadu terikat erat
Jangan terpisah lagi
waktu kan menguji
Cinta kita berdua

John Petrucci

John Petrucci (born July 12, 1967) is the guitarist and a founding member of the progressive metal group Dream Theater. He is a popular musician in the progressive metal genre and utilizes a mixture of styles when playing, such as shredding and flamenco. John first played guitar at age 8 when he noticed his sister (who was taking organ lessons at the time) was allowed to stay up past her bed time to practice. He soon dropped it when his plan failed. At age 12, he began playing again when he was invited into the band of his friend Kevin Moore, who would later become the keyboardist of Dream Theater. John began to practice in earnest whilst also working out so that his body could absorb the ultimate brunt of true shred. He was a largely self-taught guitarist who developed his skills through attempts to equal the chops of his idols, who included Steve Morse, Steve Howe, Steve Vai, Al Di Meola, Alex Lifeson, and Allan Holdsworth. He has jokingly referred to his guitar idols as “the Steves and the Als”.John attended Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts with childhood friend John Myung (bass), where they met future bandmate Mike Portnoy (drums). These three in addition to another childhood friend of Petrucci and Myung, Kevin Moore (Keyboards), formed the band Majesty, which would later become Dream Theater. While Dream Theater is what John is most commonly associated with, he was also a part of the band Liquid Tension Experiment and has appeared as a guest on several records by other artists such as the Age of Impact album by the Explorers Club. It is worth mentioning, however, that Liquid Tension Experiment also included Mike Portnoy and Jordan Rudess, two Dream Theater co-members.

John Myung

Biografi
Lahir pada tanggal 24 Januari 1967 di Chicago dan besar di Long Island, New York. Samba Sunda

Indonesia hasn't been the happiest of places in recent years as it struggles to keep its vast multi-ethnic territory unified and looking something like a nation, whilst grappling with the often painful clashes between traditional values and modern life that are part and parcel of any rapidly developing society. Samba Sunda are a group from Bandung, the capital of Western Java, who face the challenges of modernity with relish, imagination and more than a splash of courage. The aim of this 17-piece outfit is to update the venerable sound of a fully featured gamelan orchestra, that revered and mesmerising showpiece of Indonesia's rich musical traditions, by adding flavours from other parts of the Indonesian archipelago and from as far a field as Brazil too hence the 'Samba' in the name. Clashing gongs, lilting drums, sparkling flutes and cantering vibes all somehow manage to create a sound which is unique, modern and imaginatively faithful in its portrayal of the hustle and bustle of a 21st century Indonesian metropolis. The group is lead by composer and instrumental wizard Ismet Ruchimat, who started his career in the famous Jugala Orchestra and has since recorded with wide variety of international stars like Indian flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia and Madagascan combo Tarika. Every country and every traditional style of music needs musical pioneers to alleviate those unavoidable growing pains and blaze a path to modernity. Fortunately for Indonesia, Samba Sunda have taken up the challenge with style and gusto.

Mike Portnoy

As anybody who knows me personally would tell you, I am the walking definition of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder..... I always have been and probably always will be... This curse for me means that when I "get into" something, I can't just casually enjoy it.... I become obsessed with every aspect of it.... If I discover a band that I like, I must go out and get their entire catalog. If I see a film I like, I must go out and see every film that the director has made...and even worse, collect the director's entire body of work for my video, laser & DVD library... This behavior has not only driven my wife Marlene crazy, but has forced us into building a huge library/ "Dream Theater museum" seperately from the rest of my house so nobody gets hurt! : ) As anybody who has interviewed me would tell you, I would rather spend my time discussing & promoting other bands or films than talking about myself or Dream Theater....(How DT or my record company continue to let me be the band's main spokesman is still beyond me!!!) : ) What this part of my web-site provides is a real look into my biggest interests: Film, Boxing and of course, Music....(and a few other things for good measure) Some of you may read through these lists and say "you know, I could care less about this crap!"....but that's OK with me; because of my OCD, I had fun compiling these lists....even if only for myself! For those of you who actually might find these lists interesting, I think it is a good way to see what has made me the person I am today.... I constantly get asked about my influences, and I always answer: a) they branch WAY beyond just drummers and b) I could never site just "a few" names, because it is the diversity of the artists I admire that make the big picture complete... By looking through these lists, you can gather a pretty complete answer to that eternal question "who are your biggest influences"... And maybe it will give some free promotion and support to some of my influences, whose careers you can now go check into and turn yourself into a babling Obsessive Compulsive idiot like me!!!

Crysis Moneter 2008 was impacted fr Asia Economic

Setelah dua pekan tarik ulur, Jumat kemarin (03/10) parlemen Amerika Serikat menyepakati rancangan paket penyelamatan perbankan senilai 700 miliar Dolar.

Eric Johnson (born August 17, 1954) is a Grammy Award winning guitarist and recording artist from Austin, Texas. Best known for his success in the instrumental rock format, Johnson regularly incorporates jazz, fusion, New Age, and even country and western elements into his recordings. A widely recognized virtuoso, Johnson’s stylistic diversity, technical proficiency, and unique playing style have drawn praise from Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Prince, B.B. King, and the late Stevie Ray Vaughan. His critically-acclaimed, platinum selling 1990 recording Ah Via Musicom produced the single “Cliffs of Dover”, for which Johnson won a 1991 Grammy award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.

Joe “Satch” Satriani (born on July 15, 1956, in Westbury, New York and brought up in Carle Place, New York, USA) is an instrumental rock guitarist and teacher, and a recognized virtuoso of the rock guitar. Guitarists Alex Skolnick, Larry Lalonde, Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett were among his students. Satriani often tours as the guitar playing trio G3, usually with Steve Vai.Joe Satriani was inspired to play guitar at age 14 after hearing that Jimi Hendrix had died. Satriani reportedly heard the news during a football training session where he immediately confronted his coach and announced that he was quitting to become a guitarist. In 1974, he studied music with jazz guitarist Billy Bauer and with reclusive jazz pianist Lennie Tristano. The technically demanding Tristano greatly influenced Satriani’s playing. Satriani also began teaching guitar, with his most notable student, at this time, being fellow Long Island native Steve Vai.In 1978 Satriani moved to Berkeley, California to pursue a music career. Not long after his arrival he resumed teaching. His most notable California students included: Kirk Hammett (Metallica), David Bryson (Counting Crows), Kevin Cadogan (Third Eye Blind), Larry Lalonde (Primus), Alex Skolnick (Testament), Phil Kettner (Laaz Rockit) and Charlie Hunter.

FLEA - Red Hot Clihhi Peppers

AKU - Chairil Anwar

AKU
Kalau sampai waktuku
'Ku mau tak seorang kan merayu
Tidak juga kau
Tak perlu sedu sedan itu
Aku ini binatang jalang
Dari kumpulannya terbuang
Biar peluru menembus kulitku
Aku tetap meradang menerjang
Luka dan bisa kubawa berlari
Berlari
Hingga hilang pedih peri
Dan aku akan lebih tidak perduli
Aku mau hidup seribu tahun lagi

Love Song re'arr by 311

Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am fun again
However far away,
I will always love you
However long I stay,
I will always love you
Whatever words I say,
I will always love you
I will always love you
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am free again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am clean again
However far away.. I will always love you
However long I stay.. I will always love you
Whatever words I say
I will always love you
I will always love you

Leadership Action Triggers
